This is an appeal from a judgment entered in the Essex County Circuit Court in favor of the plaintiff below against the defendants below. The plaintiff brought its action against the defendants to recover the amount due on a promissory note, payable to the order of one Meyer Gendel. Before the maturity of the note, it was endorsed by William D. Decker and Meyer Cendel, and by the latter was discounted in the plaintiff bank.
