The action is for total and permanent disability benefits under three separate policies of life insurance, issued by the defendant to plaintiff. The defendant, in addition to a denial of the material allegations of the complaint, has interposed a counterclaim to recover $1,000, representing part of certain payments for disability heretofore paid by the defendant to the plaintiff. -
