The defendant, Ernest McKnight, was charged by information filed on October 28, 1952, in the district court of Treasure County, with the crime of receiving stolen property knowing the same to have been stolen in that he did wilfully, unlawfully, knowingly and feloniously and for his own gain and to prevent the owners from again possessing their own property, buy and receive from one Albert Newman, sixteen yearling heifers and seven cows, the property of Homer A.
