I. STATEMENT OF CASE

The petitioner-appellant, Con M. Bradley, unsuccessfully sought a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondentappellee, Frank X. Hopkins, to release him from custody on the ground that the criminal trial court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the charges lodged against him while incarcerated on unrelated convictions. He asserts such was the case because he was not tried within the time required by Nebraska’s “disposition of untried charges” statutes, Neb. Rev.
