We find in appellant’s brief a concise and clear statement of the nature of' this suit, and it is conceded by appellee to be correct, and is adopted by him. It is as follows:

“This suit was filed by George A. Plummer on September 19, 1919, in the county court of Jefferson county at law, in which it was alleged that the National Union Fire Insurance Company on the 20th day of June, 1918, insured plaintiff’s household goods and furniture in Beaumont, Tex., against loss by fire, which policy was numbered 26379, expiring on July 7, 1920, and in the amount of $1,000; that on or about the 2d day of…
