The appellant was charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of a woman who had been a guest in his home at the time. The events were witnessed only by the appellant and a woman who lived with him. Her version of the shooting has not been included in the record brought to this court, nor have the statements which the appellant gave to police after his arrest. According to his version of the occurrence, he had met the woman in a tavern and had invited her to his home.
