The facts in this proceeding are quite unusual, although certain legal principles involved appear to possess increasing interest. Margaret C. Reilly died on March 20, 1937, intestate. Three days later, Elizabeth Conklin verified a petition for letters of administration alleging that she was a sister of the half blood *216and that the only other statutory distributees of the decedent were certain specified nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and “ that said decedent left her surviving no husband.” She further asserted that the only property of the decedent consisted of…
