IsBoth parties appeal the judgment of the trial court finding defendant, St. John the Baptist Parish School Board (“School Board”), liable for the damages suffered by Javia Carter (“Javia”) when she broke her arm during recess at East St. John Elementary School. The School Board appeals the trial court’s determination of liability based on negligent supervision, and plaintiff, Melissa Carter on behalf of her minor child, Javia, appeals the trial court’s award of damages and seeks an increase in the amount.
