BURKE, Judge.

Darryl David Thompson appeals his conviction for manslaughter, see § 13A-6-3, Ala.Code 1975, and his resulting sentence of 15 years in prison. We affirm.

In September 2009, Thompson was indicted for murder. On August 3, 2010, Thompson filed a motion to suppress recorded statements that he made to law-enforcement officers shortly after midnight on February 17, 2009. Thompson argued that he was in custody when he made the statements and that the officers continued to interrogate him after he had asserted his right to counsel.
