ESCHBACH, Circuit Judge.

This case is a prime example of the reason for the oft-repeated but seldom heeded aphorism: Never do business with your family. Plaintiff-Appellee Michael Winger (“Plaintiff’) filed a suit against his sister, Defen dant-Appellant Susan Winger (“Defendant”), in Oneida County, Wisconsin Circuit Court, seeking to enforce an oral agreement affecting an interest in real estate. Defendant removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, on the basis of diversity jurisdiction, where the parties tried the case before a jury.
