' In this appeal, Defendant-Appellant Pamela Barfield challenges the district court’s decision to enforce her federal sentence. In January 1995, the district court agreed, upon Barfield’s motion, to defer temporarily execution of her sentence for possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute. No action was taken to execute Barfield’s sentence for more than eight years. After a hearing in the summer of 2003, the district court lifted the stay of execution.
