FISHER, Circuit Judge.
Appellant Dagoberto Vega filed a petition for habeas corpus relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241, requesting credit for the time he was incarcerated from August 27, 1998 through July 30, 1999, and credit for the period from April 17, 2002 through February 25, 2004, during which he was at liberty after being erroneously released from confinement by New York prison officials.
