MEMORANDUM DECISION AND ORDER

GRIESBACH, District Judge.

On December 22, 2006, the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin (“the Tribe”) filed this action against the Village of Hobart (“the Village”), Wisconsin, for declaratory and injunctive relief. The Tribe seeks a determination that property it recently purchased within the original boundaries of its reservation is not subject to state laws that authorize the Village to impose taxes and special assessments on property that falls within its boundaries.
