By indictment Pleas Scaggs and Emil J ones were charged with receipt of property stolen from Daniel Levin in violation of section 496 of the Penal Code. The two were tried together. The jury acquitted Jones, but found Scaggs guilty as charged. Scaggs’ motions for a new trial and for probation were denied. * From the judgment of conviction, and from the order denying his motion for a new trial, Scaggs appeals.
