In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendant John Wallman appeals from so much of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Tanenbaum, J.), entered January 25, 1989, as, upon a jury verdict, is in favor of the plaintiff and against him in the principal sum of $438,750.
Ordered that the judgment is affirmed insofar as appealed from, with costs.
