BEAN, District Judge.

This action was brought in one of the state courts of Oregon against the Pacific Power & Light Company and one Bailey to recover damages for a personal injury. The plaintiff is a citizen and resident of the state of Wisconsin. The defendant corporation was organized and exists under the laws of the state of Maine and doing business in Oregon. It presumably has complied with the •laws of the state governing foreign corporations by executing and filing a power of attorney appointing a resident agent “upon whom lawful and valid service may be made of all writs, etc., in any…
