URBIGKIT, Justice.

This appeal invokes the propriety of taking judicial notice of the cost of raising a child to justify a modification order increasing support payments as a matter of evidence and exercised discretion. We reverse and remand.

BACKGROUND

Martha Nuspl, appellee, and John Nuspl, appellant, were divorced in Wyoming in 1976. The divorce decree granted custody of the couple’s three children, then ages eight years, six years, and eight months, to appellee and ordered child support in the amount of $125 per month per child.
