[¶ 1.] Fredrick Brassfield appeals a suspended imposition of sentence for possession of a controlled weapon. We affirm.

FACTS

[¶ 2.] On March 13, 1999, Brassfield was stopped for speeding by a Rapid City police officer who was accompanied by a police cadet. After the stop, the officer asked Brassfield for his driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration. Brassfield produced his registration and an expired insurance card, but no driver’s license. Brassfield also gave the officer his name and date of birth.
