The complainant filed its original bill in the Chancery Court of Davidson County to recover certain privilege taxes theretofore paid under protest to the defendant as Commissioner of Finance and Taxation of the State of Tennessee. The suit was instituted within the time prescribed by law, Code, section 1790 et seq.
