These two cases grew out of the same accident. Plaintiffs in each case are husband and wife, and seek a judgment for loss of a minor child. On November 17, 1937, a truck owned by defendant collided with a Ford coupe in which five young people were riding. Vaughan Sheffield sat in the driver’s seat of the coupe behind the steering wheel; at his right in the middle of the single seat sat Alta Ewell; to her right was Don Simmons.
