¶ 1 The instant appeal arises from a foreclosure action filed by plaintiff Credit Union 1 against defendant Yolanda Carrasco with respect to a single family home in Calumet City. The trial court granted summary judgment in plaintiff's favor and, after the property was sold, entered an *1023 order approving the report of sale and distribution. Defendant appeals, arguing that plaintiff never established that it sent an acceleration notice as required under the terms of the mortgage, meaning that plaintiff did not have the right to initiate the foreclosure action.
