The plaintiff brought this action against The Andrews Corporation and The Ice Cream Shop, Inc., seeking to recover damages for personal injuries sustained in a fall on an icy sidewalk. She claimed that each defendant was in pos session and control of the sidewalk. Each defendant denied the claim. The case was tried to a jury, and, at the conclusion of the plaintiff’s case, both defendants rested without offering evidence and moved for a directed verdict.
