STEELE, Chief Justice.

Robert Garvey appeals his conviction of first-degree murder and other felonies in the Superior Court, claiming that the trial judge abused his discretion by denying a pretrial motion to suppress Garvey’s post-arrest statement and a motion to declare a mistrial. Garvey also contends for the first time on appeal that the jury’s findings at the guilt and penalty stages were inconsistent.
