DUBOFSKY, Justice.
We granted certiorari to review the Weld County district court’s affirmance of a county court award of an attorney’s fee in a successful action by tenants for wrongful withholding of their security deposit. The county court reduced the fee requested by the tenants’ counsel under section 38-12-103(3)(a), C.R.S. 1973 1 without explanation. The district court summarily affirmed the county court’s decision.
