FERREN, Associate Judge:

James McBride, James Thomas, and Richard Sheffield appeal their convictions, after a joint jury trial, based on a robbery and shooting incident at the China Star Cafe in late January, 1976. Mr. McBride was convicted of assault with intent to kill while armed (D.C.Code 1973, §§ 22-501, -3202), assault with intent to rob while armed (D.C. Code 1973, §§ 22-501, -3202), and possession of a prohibited weapon (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-3214(b)).
