This suit was filed by plaintiff Hoffman to quiet title to a tract of land containing 394.28 acres lying in Pemiscot County, Missouri. Defendants, Hogan and Monarch Finance Corporation, filed separate answers wherein they asked the court to set aside certain deeds under which plaintiff claimed title, and to decree title to be in defendant, Mrs. Marguerite Pyatt Hogan, subject to a deed of trust in favor of defendant Monarch Finance Corporation.
