Defendant Reginald Darris was found guilty by jury of burglary in the first degree, § 560.040, RSMo 1969, and sentenced by the trial court to fifteen years’ imprisonment under the Second Offender Act. Section 556.280, RSMo 1969. On this appeal, he contends the trial court erred in three respects: (1) in denying his pretrial motion to suppress testimony concerning a statement made by him before he was advised of his right to remain silent; (2) in refusing to allow defense counsel to reopen cross-examination of one of the state’s witnesses; and (3) in failing to grant…
