Police have a suspected drug dealer under surveillance. They create two controlled purchases from him. In the first, they monitor his travel directly from the site of the purchase to his apartment. In the second, they follow his travel from the apartment directly to the site of the purchase. In neither instance did he stop at any intermediate location. In both instances, the undercover buyer reported that the suspect was carrying additional packaged drugs on his person.
