STEPHENSON, Circuit Judge.

United Transportation Union (UTU)1 appeals from a preliminary injunction restraining it from picketing Ashley, Drew & Northern Railway Company (AD&N). The district court2 issued the injunction on the ground that UTU was engaged in secondary picketing outlawed by the Railway Labor Act. The principal issues on appeal are (1) whether the district court had jurisdiction to issue the injunction, and, if so, (2) whether issuing the injunction was an abuse of discretion.
