Commerce Insurance Company (“Commerce”) has appealed the default judgment under G.L.c. 93A entered against it and in favor of Advanced Spine Centers, Inc. (“Advanced”).

Commerce insured a 1997 Pontiac owned by Adriana Lopez. On November 13, 2007, Angela Ramirez was driving the car when it was struck by another vehicle pulling out of a parking space in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Her passenger, Jose Nieves (“Nieves”), was injured. He was treated at Lawrence General Hospital and then received chiropractic services from Advanced.
