George F. Stradar applied for a patent on an invention entitled “Image-Engraving Plate and Process of Producing the Same.” The application, Serial No. 203,310, contained 13 claims relating to a blank plastic plate or sheet to be photoelectrically engraved and used to reproduce images in printed matter, a fourteenth relating to a process of producing the blank plastic plate, and a fifteenth relating to a process of not only producing but also engraving the blank plastic plate.
