WELLFORD, Circuit Judge.

This appeal from a sentence imposed by the district court following a guilty plea is brought by defendant, Wavell A. Robinson, who contends that there was an inappropriate departure from the sentencing guidelines imposed under the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984, 18 U.S.C. § 3553 et seq. (hereafter “The Act”). Robinson appeals pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3742.1 It is undisputed that application of the guidelines in this case involving the aiding and abetting of the making of a false statement in the acquisition of a firearm under 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(6) and § 924(a)(1)(B)…
