On the 2d day of June, 1876, John M. Gas-ton, Flavius J. VanVorhis, George D. Vincent, and Judson A. Goodrich entered into a contract in writing, by the terms of which the said Vincent and Goodrich agreed to furnish the material and construct for the said Gaston and VanVorhis a business block on the land named in the contract, situate in the city of Indianapolis, according to certain plans and specifications, for the sum of $22,125.
