OPINION

SUTIN, Judge.

{1} In this appeal we consider whether the district court had authority to impose an adult sentence on a juvenile who was originally charged as a serious youthful offender in district court, but who subsequently pled guilty only to offenses that would not qualify for an adult sentence if brought independently. We also consider whether a juvenile can waive the right to appeal the imposition of a sentence to which he agreed in a plea agreement.
