*211Following a jury trial, David Michael Dixon was convicted of aggravated child molestation ( OCGA § 16-6-4 (c) ), aggravated sexual battery ( OCGA § 16-6-22.2 ), two counts of child molestation ( OCGA § 16-6-4 (a) ), and sexual battery against a child under the age of 16 ( OCGA § 16-6-22.1 (d) ). He filed a motion for new trial, as amended, on the grounds that (1) the trial court erred in admitting evidence of other acts and in instructing the jury on its consideration of this evidence, and (2) he received ineffective assistance of counsel.
