Defendant appeals a judgment of acquittal and order of commitment entered by the Superior Court after a jury found defendant not guilty by reason of insanity. We accepted certification from the Court of Appeals, Division Three.
On October 13, 1973, defendant was on board an eastbound Amtrak passenger train traveling through Franklin County in Eastern Washington. It had left Seattle earlier that day.
