In this civil action, plaintiff sued defendant Columbia County for, among other things, false arrest and malicious prosecution.1 Defendant appeals from a judgment awarding damages and costs entered after a jury found in plaintiffs favor on both of those claims. Defendant raises five assignments of error, the second of which contends that the trial court erred in denying defendant’s directed-verdict motions as to those claims.
