In an amended information filed by the District Attorney of Los Angeles County, containing three counts, defendant was accused in each count of the crime of grand theft. The information also contained an averment that defendant had theretofore been convicted of a felony and had served a term of imprisonment in a penal institution as punishment therefor. Following pleas of not guilty and the admission by defendant of the prior conviction charged against him, the cause proceeded to trial before a jury for the third time.
