ODOM, Justice.
This is an expropriation proceeding brought by plaintiff to acquire title to a triangular piece of land owned by defendant situated in Jefferson parish at, Southport, on the left bank of the Mississippi river.
Defendant owns a narrow tract of land, 8% acres, trapezoidal in shape, the long side of which is a line running from the right of way of the Illinois Central Railroad north 25° 50' east to the southern boundary line of the Jefferson Highway, a distance of 2,258 feet.
