JANVIER, Judge.

Louisiana Highway Commission is a political corporation of the state of Louisiana charged' with the duty of building and maintaining a highway system throughout the state and having the power of eminent domain. For a great many years there has existed along the west bank of the Mississippi river a road extending many miles down the river from a point opposite the city of New Orleans. By Act No. 236 of 1924 and Act No. 330 of 1926 that road was made a part of the state highway system. The various defendants in these consolidated cases own contiguous tracts of land fronting on…
