This matter concerns rights to use bibliographic information relating to vast amounts of the canon of recorded music and digitally-recorded samples of such music. Plaintiff Muze, Inc. (“Muze”), a New York corporation with its principal place of business in New York, owns the material in question. Defendant Digital On-Demand, Inc. (“DOD”) is a licensee of the bibliographic and music databases.
