MEMORANDUM OF OPINION

DAVID F. SNOW, Bankruptcy Judge.

The Debtors, Robert Freeman Hill (“Hill”) and his wife, Janet Ann Hill, who is known professionally as Janet Ann Pickles (“Pickles”), received their discharge in this chapter 7 case on December 8,1995, and the case was closed on March 27, 1996. Pickles reopened the case in March 1998 to file a motion for an order to show cause against BP Oil Company (“BP”) requesting that BP be found in contempt because its postpetition attempts to collect the discharged balance of Pickles’ account with BP violated section 524 of the Bankruptcy Code.
