SMITH, Circuit Judge.

Henry Kenneth Roger Siems appeals the district court’s 1 dismissal with prejudice of his 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claim against the City of Minneapolis and certain police officers for failure to comply with the court’s pretrial orders. We affirm.

On April 12, 2006, Siems filed a complaint under § 1983 against the City of Minneapolis and two Minneapolis police officers alleging that the officers used excessive force when they intervened in a dispute between Siems and a city animal control officer on April 12, 2004.
