Countrywide Home Loan Inc. (“Countrywide”) held a claim secured by a deed of trust on the debtor’s principal residence. The debtor filed her petition commencing this case after the auctioneer’s hammer had fallen at a foreclosure sale of her residence conducted pursuant to District of Columbia law under the deed of trust.
