¶1 This case involves a request for certain records maintained by the Washington State District and Municipal Court Judges’ Association. While providing information in response to the request, the Association asserted that as part of the judiciary it was not subject to the Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW. The requester challenged that assertion by filing a complaint alleging a violation of the act and seeking penalties against the Association. The trial court correctly dismissed the complaint.
