This was an action to review and cancel an award made under the workmen’s compensation act, and to recover compensation. The plaintiff, prevailed, and the defendant appeals.

The plaintiff, a Mexican, was injured by falling in such a way that his side struck the edge of a barrel. His interpreter took up with counsel for the employer the matter of adjustment, but owing to the latter’s other engagements no definite meeting was had.
