GODFREY, Justice.
In October, 1977, appellant Keith A. Tor-rey was arrested as a fugitive from Oregon under the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act, chapter 9 of title 15 of the Maine Revised Statutes. He petitioned the Superior Court for a writ of habeas corpus, pursuant to 15 M.R.S.A. § 210, to test the legality of his arrest. 1 After hearing argument by counsel, the presiding justice denied the petition.
