Respondent Parole Board appeals by leave granted 1 a circuit court order reversing its decision to deny petitioner Tyrrell Hopkins parole. We reverse.

On April 21, 1988, petitioner pleaded guilty to charges of armed robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). He received a sentence of two to twenty years’ imprisonment for the armed robbery conviction, to be served consecutively to a two-year sentence for the felony-firearm conviction. After becoming eligible for parole, petitioner was denied parole several times.
