This is a consolidated appeal arising from the purchase and sale of various assets, including real estate, related to the development of a retirement housing project in Arlington Heights. Albert B. Magnus, Jr., and his partner, Joel Hillman, sold the assets to Lutheran General Health Care System (Lutheran General) and its subsidiary, Parkside Development Corporation (Parkside). One of the improvements on the property was a house.
