HODGÉS, J.

This is an action for damages for personal injuries resulting from a collision at a crossing on Stonewall street in the city of Greenville. The appellant’s switch engine was pushing a string of nine cars from the railway yards in the western part of the city to an industrial plant in the eastern part. The track was crossed by Stonewall street, running north and south. The appellee was riding in an automobile with three others, going north. The collision occurred at night, about 10 o’clock.
